oaths and other truths, by Anonymous
If there’s one thing in this entire damned outfit that he doesn’t regret doing, it’s Nate, though Jake’s got the funny feeling in the back of his mind that in real short order Nate’s going to regret everything to do with him.
It’s for the best. Probably. One day he’ll find a way to make it up to Nate. Maybe.
Teen, pre-movie. For Trick or Treat 2018. Jake and Nate before things went south. This is lovely.
never ever ever (back together), by susiecarter
Ten years ago, Nate and Jake were something to each other. Maybe. But it didn’t end well and they’re done with it, and it’s not like it matters now. They’re not even friends anymore, and they definitely aren’t getting back together.
Adult. Oh wow, this fic is EVERYTHING I needed and wanted after watching the movie. I still can’t believe there isn’t more of this pairing out there, but now I have this, 10k of beautiful development, totally in character.

Nate’s injuries are a lot worse than first expected. While his drift partner is in a coma, Jake comes to terms with what he wants to do now that he’s technically free to leave the PPDC again and a literal world-saving hero to boot.
Everything I’d been wanting in a fic since watching the movie – absolutely wonderful!

The only part of the battle they don’t put into the simulators is the aftermath. He could see it on Jake’s face after they faced Obsidian Fury that first time in Sydney, and again after they destroyed it in Siberia. Still feeling the injuries that were dealt to the Jaeger, but not seeing them on you anywhere. Suddenly standing a hundredth of the height you were just minutes ago.
Adult, post-movie. This is exactly what I needed after watching the movie – perfect character voices, perfect smuttiness!

Hey man – it’s a two bedroom flat, utilities + cable are included in the cost, I’m a dude, there’s no catch. My last roommate wasn’t cool with my job (gay-for-pay porn star) so he ditched, thus the ‘no douchebags’ clause. If you’re that kind of asshole, respond with some homophobic slurs just so I know what I’m getting into. If you’re not, lemme know when you can come by so I can show you the digs. – Raleigh
Explicit, porn star!AU. This had me in stitches from start to finish. Plus it’s insanely hot.
Raleigh is loud as fuck during sex. Mako probably isn’t, but maybe Chuck just can’t hear her over Raleigh’s caterwauling. And Chuck… is not as unaffected by that as he wants to be.
Adult, canon divergence, Raleigh/Mako/Chuck. Chuck lives – right next to Raleigh and Mako. And those two enjoy pegging. It goes about as expected. 🙂 I love Raleigh and Mako as platonic friends, but this is hot as hell.

Steve wakes to a world terrorised by kaiju and steps up to pilot a jaeger. Natasha assists. Bucky wakes as the Winter Soldier and struggles to find a new identity. Steve is entirely unhelpful. And while Steve comes to terms, someone else saves the world.
Mature, AU. I’m a total sucker for Pacific Rim/MCU crossovers – this is unique in that it actually merges the two worlds, and does a very good job, too. This allows the story to focus on Steve learning how to deal with this new Bucky, who is both his old friend and someone very much different.

”You’ve been my bodyguard for three years and not once has anyone so much as flipped me the bird. Dad’s just a paranoid old fart,” Chuck says with a roll of his eyes. Raleigh checks his weapon before sliding it back in his holster. “That he may be, but not only does he pay my salary, he could also kill me with his thumb, so I’m just gonna do my job if that’s alright with you.”
Adult, AU. Raleigh is Chuck’s bodyguard. Shit hits the fan. This works really, really well.
Fires Unknown (Carry Me Home), by Synekdokee
It was Chuck. But Chuck was six months dead, and this was… something else. And his mind just didn’t want to wrap around it. What would happen when the clone woke up?
Adult, post-movie, canon-compliant. Before Pitfall, Chuck let himself be cloned, memories and all – except he tampered with them, leading to some… interesting variations. This hits right in the Chuck feels, dear me!
