“It’s Thompson,” Dom whispers. “Fuck. Listen, follow my lead, don’t freak out, and don’t talk.”
Brian has no chance to respond before Dom’s pushing him up against the wall and kissing him hard. If Dom’s tongue weren’t already pushing into Brian’s mouth, Brian would probably swallow his own tongue in shock. Dom buries one hand in the hair at Brian’s nape and squeezes his side with the other. He pulls back long enough to murmur, “C’mon, Spilner,” against Brian’s mouth.

Gotta love the ‘make out as a cover’ trope…
He saw the shadow move before he actually registered the sound, the click. Instinct and surprise should have made him move faster, but he was almost on the shadow before he noticed it, before it moved. It was no tackle, more like tripping, legs tangling with his, a heavier body and an amazingly solid fist punching into his lower back even while he twisted around to meet his attacker head-on. That faint filtered light from the windows and the kitchen shone off skin and a white t-shirt. A mostly white t-shirt. So glaring now even in the half-light and how had he missed it? How had he missed Dom sitting in his living room?
Last place he expected him to be. He should be in Mexico. Anywhere.

Pretty epic canon-divergence that deals in responsibilities and consequences.
“I got a full stomach, a car with a sweet engine, and a fully stocked garage, man. What more could a guy want?”
“Funny you should say that,” Dom said, coming to stand next to him. “Tell me something, Brian. What do you want?”

Garage sex. What do you mean this didn’t happen?
Vince was looking at him really hard, “So when’d you stop being a patrolman?”
“About two hours ago.”
Vince blew out his breath hard and clenched his fists. Brian tightened his grip on the steering wheel and tried to make his face blank. Surely, Vince wouldn’t take a swing while they were barreling down the 405 south at 70 miles per?
“What are you saying, man? And just what the fuck do you think you’re doing?” Vince’s voice had an edge that could slice through an artery but Brian could tell he was actually trying to keep his temper. Prison really does change you, I guess.
“I just…” Brian cleared his throat but it still came out kind of choked. “I just want a do-over.”

Canon-divergence post F&F, this is everything I could have wished for with a good dose of h/c.
“Mia, I think I know.” Dom said this low. He felt like a chasm was opening between them. Mia smiled at him, she didn’t see it yet. “I think I’ve figured it out.”
“Lay it on me then, big brother. What’s it going to take to make you happy?”
He leaned in, it was very important that he held her eyes right now. She needed to know that he was dead serious.
“Mia…” God, this was agonizing. “He made me happy.”

Perfect canon-divergence in which they’re trying to live separate lives – until Dom decides to do something about it.
As long as Brian focuses on how the guy he’s supposed to be is supposed to react, he doesn’t have to think about the way the guy he is does react. How Dom’s casual possessiveness lights him up like a flare of NOS, makes his skin feel too tight and his insides too hot, much like they did when Mia told him that Dom owned him. Back then, Brian had smiled and shrugged it off, but he’d felt it, a gravitational pull towards Dom he couldn’t resist.

Damn hot car sex with Brian helpless to resist Dom. ’nuff said. 😉
“Been home long?” Home slipped off his tongue. Brian wondered if it was like that for Dom and Mia, if what they had here meant as much to them as it had come to mean to him. It had been a long time since he’d had somewhere he’d cared enough to want to come back to. With Brian it had always been people, rather than places. One person in particular.

This fic is just perfect, all I like in a F&F fic.
Everyone else in the world might have believed Soulmarks were an amazing thing, that the one person their Mark matched was meant to be their great love. Brian didn’t, he knew better – Soulmarks were just a way to trap and ruin someone and he wasn’t going to let it happen to him.
Meeting his Mark, Dominic Toretto, wasn’t going to change anything about that. He wouldn’t let it. It didn’t matter if Toretto tried to do to win him over, Brian wasn’t going to fall for it.
Really, he wasn’t.

Soulmate AUs aren’t special faves of mine, but this one had me on the edge of my seat!
“I’m yours, you know that.” Dom didn’t make it a question.
Brian quirked his head and made a sardonic face, so Dom tightened his grip on Brian’s wrist and waist. “I’m not playing. Something I have, something I can get. Anything you want, it’s yours.”
“What makes you think I want anything?” Brian said softly, but there was an odd light in his eyes like something in his head had shifted.

Some things are just inevitable.
Maybe it’d be easier if there wasn’t—this between them, atmosphere always thick, respect and animosity alike lingering. Dom was supposed to have just been another mark for Brian, but they’re under each other’s skin now.

All the times Brian and Dom could have crossed that line… I’ve only seen the first F&F movie, but the homoeroticism is undeniable. *g*
