Two-Thirds God, by Tem-ve H’syan

Gilgamesh thought he could see the sun rising, for all that it might just have been a reflection of his own dishevelled hair in the rain-coloured eyes of his opponent.

How long had they fought? He had no way of measuring time, and no way to stop fighting. Nor, surprisingly so, did he have any wish to.

Teen. Written as a (strange and wonderful) Star Wars AU, to me this also reads like a stunning Gilgamesh/Enkidu fic, its language lyrical and very vivid.

His eyes are not on his hands, not where skilled blunt fingertips caress and pummel the cobalt blue custom Fender Jazz into sweet throbbing submission. His eyes are not anywhere on the trajectory of a small pale green item of feminine clothing about to flop down at his feet, missing its mark by a good six feet, he suspects. His eyes are not on the likely originator of said pale green item, frantically waving her arms in the air, her head thrown back in a scream of frenzied excitement as Ben-K goes down on one knee and wraps himself around the mike stand sinuously, crawling towards her while belting out the high notes like an angel in agony. The slack khaki pants that have threatened to fall off his hips all evening have slid a little lower.

From where he is standing, the view is perfect.

Mature, band!AU. This really shouldn’t work, but it very much does. In few words the author paints a picture of our boys, different but recognizable.

Aurora, by M. Fae Glasgow

It’s not often we get a new face, after all, and two new faces, attached to bodies such as those… well, who could blame us for wanting them?

Especially with the Force so strong in both of them. No aphrodisiac better than the tang and tingle of the Force, for us.

Adult, “fuck or die”, outside POV. This gives a very interesting perspective, since the group Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan have infiltrated are Force-sensitive. Also, it’s smoking hot. 😉

A gorgeous, touching retelling of my favourite part of TPM – the relationship between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, and how they both have to face their destinies. Can be read as slash or gen, as you like. 🙂 Music: Moving Mountains (Invincible), by Two Steps From Hell.

She presses one hand over his chest, firm against his heart. It beats faster now, a steady thrum even when he’s still, but the pulse reminds her of the way it would beat before the experiments when he was excited, when he was happy or scared or full of love for her.

“Still the same,” she promises, and Pietro stares at her, stares into her, and Wanda knows the very moment she has his acceptance.

Adult, pre-AoU, incest, established relationship. Wanda and Pietro rediscover one another after the experiments. Love their connection here, and the way the changes in them affect their love-making.

He thinks of Dick and his bright red hair, the only spot of color in the whole damn forest, and then he makes himself stop thinking about it.

Adult, Bastogne fic. Great Nixon POV, this feels completely believable. There’s just something very appealing about boys keeping each other warm…

This is his Elysium: flushed cheeks and lips bitten to redness, like wine splashed over golden skin, blue eyes flecked with olive-green and earthy browns, and dark hair spread over trampled grass.

There is a tomorrow and one after that, and those tomorrows are not contained within an hourglass anymore.

Adult, set in the afterlife. Achilles gets his happy ending, the only one he’s ever wanted. This is lyrical and sensual and altogether beautiful.

“What if I can’t?” Murphy said. He loved Jesus, more than their Ma, even. But not more than everyone.

Adult, pre-canon, twincest. Awesome backstory, Murphy POV, following the MacManus twins as they grow up and explaining a lot of things the movie left up to our imaginations. Also a crossover with Bravo Two Zero, whatever that is. 🙂

Steve Rogers’ American Captain, by Robyn

Steve Rogers was educated at Pratt Institute in New York, where he specialized in comics in particular and illustration in general. He does a diary comic.

He is also Captain America.

This comic is amazing. It also deals with some serious shit, because this Steve has to deal not just with the modern world but with the world he left behind. I especially love the way his friendships with the other Avengers and especially Pepper is portrayed.
