Haunting and beautiful, this encapsulates Clarke & Lexa’s relationship perfectly.

I Turn My Feelings On, by Chash
I Turn My Feelings On, by Chash
“How did you guys know you were bi?”
“Normal way,” he says. It’s too casual for Monty to buy it even before he adds a pause for dramatic effect. “Did a porno with my roommate.”
Adult, porn AU. Monty has a question for Bellamy and Clarke – he did not expect the answer. He also did not expect to meet Bellamy’s best friend Miller, the porn star.
This is seriously cute and not very smutty for a porn AU!
First and Last of Your Kind, by verbaepulchellae
She needs to feel real and alive after all that death and for a moment she’s at a loss of how to get that, how to feel that when she can’t turn to Finn and Raven is buried in engineering and forty-seven of her friends could be dying in Mount Weather.
But then she thinks of Bellamy’s fingers under hers.
Adult, missing scene. Clarke needs something real – Bellamy gives it to her. I love how comfort-seeking, life-affirming smut turns into something lovely and deep, without messing up canon.
Faking It, by winterwaters
The footsteps rounded the corner.
“We might need crazy right about now,” he said urgently.
She pushed him against the wall, hard. He had only a moment to register his surprise before her arms wound around his neck and her mouth touched his.
Teen, fluff. I have a soft spot for pretend!relationship fics, and this one’s just really sweet.
Meet Me in the Morning, by monroeslittle
“I guess one of us is messed up,” he said, “and it’s part of our hallucination that the other is, too.” He paused. “Seems appropriately hellish that my mind sticks me with you.”
She pursed her lips. “Likewise.”
Adult, Groundhog Day!AU. Early season 1!Clarke & Bellamy are stuck together. At first it goes about as well as expected – and then it goes about as well as (the shipper heart) expected… including sexytimes!
Watercolors, by rashaka
When a rustle pulls him awake, it’s full dark. The last candle winked out some time before, and the only light remaining is a thin silver glow from the window. Bellamy blinks as his eyes adjust, taking in the wooden slats of the ceiling, then the quiet room. Beyond the door, he can hear men and women moving and whispering, but the sounds are muted: a hush of a prayer, a soft whimper of pain. He turns his head, expecting to see Clarke asleep beside him in the darkness.
She’s not.
She is awake too, and she’s watching him.
Adult, post-season 3 finale. This is only the first chapter of what the author calls a “smut series”, but it stands wonderfully on its own – and the smut has a whole lot of feels to it, which is my favourite kind.
Love Will Come Through, by monroeslittle
But her mother’s arm brushed her shoulder, and she wasn’t allowed to refuse.
“Bellamy,” she told them. “I’d like to marry Bellamy.”
Adult, AU. In which Clarke has to marry Bellamy for an alliance. I love how things are different yet the same, right down to the complicated politics.
Frostbite, by jaegermighty
He was stubborn and arrogant and had no idea how kind he really was, and Clarke loved him so much she thought she might die of it.
In another universe, she did. Bellamy stayed dead when he fell and Clarke stayed dead when she crashed, and the world went on without them and they became nothing more than an old story, two war heroes with a romantic story and some old newsreels and comic strips.
Some days, she thinks she’d rather be in that one anyway. At least then, she’d know how it ended.
Teen, Steve/Bucky!AU. Locked for AO3 users. This is probably my favourite of all the MCU AUs I’ve read – it all fits brilliantly, all the ways that are the same and all the ways that are different.
