Prince Charming, by Brenda
All of a sudden, the last couple of months started to make a lot more sense. The immediate connection and rapport he’d felt from day one, the easy physicality between them, the ever-present awareness of Steve’s body, that goofy feeling he got whenever Steve smiled at him…
Holy. Shit.
Adult, AU. Tattoo artist Bucky discovers he might not be as straight as he always thought. This one’s just warm fuzzies and pure happiness.

“I had it under control.” Audrey doesn’t need a man to save her.
“I know you did. I just don’t like bullies.” He gives her a shy smile, and suddenly she likes him a whole lot more than she did. A guy who looks like him could easily have been a bully.
“Well, thank you, Captain America.”
One of the USO girls realizes there’s more to Captain America than meets the eye… I love outside POVs, and this one is just lovely.
Seventy Years of Sleep, by nikka ursula
Aren’t all the good stories
always like this?
Passed from one mouth to another
with one or two things melting into the tongues
of those who preach the sanctified word.
Forever lost,
altered history. We’re seventy years worth of good stories
and for seventy years, many have tried to tell them. But somehow in all the madness
of good people and bad people
of right and wrong
they forgot to tell the story of how much I love you.As if the heavy slope of my shoulders
doesn’t write a hundred paragraphs.
As if the way I look at you
doesn’t write the singular ending. You are my epilogue,
my prologue,
and every chapter that exists in between.Everybody, sit down.
I have a story to tell.

I love a good AU, and this one’s pretty fucking awesome.

“Bucky, wait, it’s okay,” Steve says, shaking his head. But Steve tells Bucky that pretty much everything he does is okay, so he’s not buying it.
“No, it’s really not,” Bucky protests, rolling out of bed. He can feel his face flushing and tears threatening to spill over onto his cheeks from embarrassment. He chokes them back, annoyed. “I’m 20, not some stupid teenager who does…that,” he finishes lamely, already heading back to his own cot. Steve grabs his hand before he can.
Adult, comic!verse. This is smut of the best kind, shameless yet sweet.

Steve of the present — who was all muscle, now, muscle and the same perfect bow of his lips — made a soft sound in his sleep, almost a sigh, and Bucky watched him through half-lidded eyes. He watched him, and eventually he slid down the bed until he was lying down, and when sleep came to take him, it was with Steve’s name in his mouth. Curled under his tongue, where it tasted both familiar and inevitable.
Adult, recovery fic. Bed-sharing and touch-starved Bucky… This is pure loveliness!

Steve has criteria for losing his virginity. Bucky knows somebody who meets them.
This comic owns my heart. Seriously, it’s sweet and funny and sexy as hell.

Summary: A tale of many cities and churches and two boys. Happy 100th Birthday, Bucky Barnes: March 10, 2017.
“I do; I love you,” Steve said, throat tight.
Bucky looked like he couldn’t believe Steve really said it out loud. “I—believe it,” he scraped out, and kissed Steve in the old way, ripe and urgent. Steve closed his eyes and let himself revel in it. Then Bucky moved his mouth to Steve’s ear and whispered, “But if you do, you have to let me go. Draw them away from me, buy me some time,” and Christ, he had to fight the urge to argue, to beg and plead: No, don’t go—I haven’t got anything else; nothing; not a single goddamned thing—but he couldn’t put all that on Bucky, not when he had only just gotten free.
Canon divergence after CA: WS. Steve finds Bucky, but that doesn’t mean everything’s HEA… This is incredible – seriously, I started and couldn’t stop, because this is everything.
A Life in Eight-time, by Ilye
Barnes comes to with a hard-on in his pants and a rock in his chest. Steve’s not home. Barnes listens to the song six more times, just to be sure that the memory’s not a fake, or a fluid chimaera made up of his own desires. But the picture is so damned solid, so unwavering, his hard-on so persistent, that he has to take it at face value.
The first time they’d… They’d. Barnes’d never even known that they’d they’d until Billie Holliday started crooning at him.
Mature, post-canon. Steve makes Bucky a playlist to jog his memory. It works. This is what a songfic should be.
