Alec choked out a gasp, his head throbbing and lungs screaming with searing pain. His fingers clutched the hip were his parabatai rune lay so tight he could feel the skin break under this nails. Vision clouding, he heard a sob ripped from his own throat as he was pulled under.
Summary: Where Alec is concerned, there isn’t much that can stop Jace from getting to him.
Notes: A fic I’ve been planning for a long, long time. Loosely based on the fact that Alec and Jace’s parabatai bond doesn’t seem to break when one of them dies and on the Orpheus and Eurydice myth, with an attempt at a happier (?) ending. All the warnings are inside; please mind them. Other than that, I hope you enjoy it!

Hodge growls when he reads the message on his cellphone. Entitled bastard. All of them, the people coming in from Idris and looking down at him because of his past, treating him like their servant.
Still, he goes because refusing on principle isn’t worth the hassle. The word is that Witherspoon’s the Inquisitor’s favorite. Raziel save him from ass-kissers.
Hodge on the day before Jace & Alec’s parabatai ceremony – this is unique, such an interesting idea. It rings absolutely true to character, and I love it!

A Jalec Vampire Academy AU. Jace’s a Moroi, the queen’s grandson, Alec’s his dhampir guardian. More of a set-up than a real story, just something that kept nagging at me ever since I saw the movie!
