With Practice, by ambiguously – Star Wars Original Trilogy [Archive of Our Own]

What Han wanted to do now was grab him by the shoulders and shake him. What he needed to do was break through Luke’s hard-earned Jedi calm and demand what he actually thought, what he really felt. As much as Luke had loved Leia, her choice had become crystal clear by circumstances set into play before they were born. As much as Han and Leia both loved Luke, the wall was built between him and them forever. What Han ached to do was pull him close and kiss him and act like none of this mattered as much as what he felt for Luke and what Leia felt for him just as fervently, like they could work past anything including the accident of the twins’ birth

Adult. After finding out that their twins, Luke pulls away. Han doesn’t like it one bit. This is the perfect post-trilogy OT3 fic.

How can a loser ever win – Chapter 1, by sirona – Captain America (Movies) [Archive of Our Own]

He keeps the leather jacket he stripped off the drug dealer. When he leaves the apartment, he tumbles the lock behind himself. He has no orders to do it, but if he is going to pretend to be a dead man he might as well start by acquiring some mannerisms. It feels like something the man who had looked after Captain Steven Grant Rogers as a child might do.

Then he walks into Manhattan, through the enormous entrance to Stark Tower, between sliding glass panels and into a hall drenched in light.

“Hello,” he says to the woman behind the massive circular desk dominating the lobby. He tries out a smile, encouraged when the woman does not scream and call security, but eyes him speculatively instead. “I am here to see Captain Steven Rogers.”

A lovely post-WS “Bucky comes home” fic.

falling out of love is hard (falling for betrayal is worse) – Chapter 1, by EverythingButTheKitchenSink (ElvisHasLeftTheBuilding) – The Maze Runner (Movies) [Archive of Our Own]

Finally, Newt manages to tear his gaze away from the windows and pins Vince with an unsettlingly intent look. “How did you know my name?” he asks.

“The same reason I knew where to find you.” Vince scrubs a hand down his face, one corner of his mouth ticks up in a half-smile. “An old friend of yours made me promise to get you out.”

Newt looks lost. “An old friend,” he repeats.

“Yeah.” Vince has stopped smiling. “You wouldn’t remember him.”

Teen, AU. Thomas is never sent to the Maze, instead working from the inside. This is a great canon-divergence that doesn’t ignore the importance of Teresa for Thomas.

Something about this Greenie is different.

He never pays this much attention to Greenies, nothing past the usual introduction and First Day jitters but something about this one is different.

Something about him calls to Newt, to a part of him that he hasn’t tapped into in years.

Sitting here with him laughing at Gally’s brew, watching the boys wrestle, bathing in the warm orange light of the fire, Newt feels something in his chest shift. Between two ribs and just under his heart, he feels the smallest thing plant itself in the space there.

A flower.

An affection.

A warmth that tickles down to his fingertips.

Sitting in the brightness of the night and the Greenie’s laugh, Newt knows that something’s starting to bloom.

Teen. Newt can’t help but look at Thomas. This is lovely.

“Thomas, meet Newt. He’s in charge here when I’m not around.”, by Tattered_Dreams, orphan_account – The Maze Runner Series – James Dashner [Archive of Our Own]

The sunlight hits him hard as he exits the Council Hall. One leg after another he moves himself closer to the Homestead across the Glade. He needs to be alone. He needs to calm down. He needs to stop thinking of the ghost of Newt’s fingers on his neck, on his back, his waist.

Thomas needs a lot of things.

Adult. Read Fingerprints by Tattered_Dreams first, then enjoy this delicious bit of mild D/s smut. There isn’t enough happy Glade fic for these two.

Running It By You, by astralpenguin – The Maze Runner (Movies) [Archive of Our Own]

Minho had a problem.

Actually, he had more than one.

The first was Thomas and Newt.

They’d spent over six months without him. That time spent traversing the Scorch, trying to find him, had clearly made them close.

Minho had been Newt’s best friend, once upon a time, and that night he’d spent with Thomas in the Maze had formed a bond between the two of them that couldn’t ever be broken. He loved both those shanks dearly. And he completely understood how and why they’d ended up closer to each other than they currently were with him.

Teen, post-canon, Newt lives AU. Short, sweet and funny. I love Minho so much!

Turning Page – Chapter 1, by flemoncake – The Maze Runner Series – James Dashner [Archive of Our Own]

Thomas refuses to think about Newt at all, about the way his breathy groans had filled the room, about how messy his half bun came undone, about how eagerly his fingers had opened Gally’s belt. No, no, no. He really doesn’t want to think about his friend, Newt, having sex. With Gally of all people. No. He briefly wonders if hooking up with people you dislike is another one of Newt’s holy but proudly broken rules? Because obviously, Newt dislikes Gally? He must. Dislike him, right? Damn Newt and his damn rules. And now with not catching Newt in the Map Room, he can’t even tease him about breaking some rules himself. And Thomas would rather face a Griever than admit to Newt to what he had seen. Newt rubbing up against Gally, Newt getting hoisted on the table. No. He won’t think about it. He will play it cool. He will give Gally the cold shoulder, Newt probably too, for good measure. He will catch Newt in the map room a different day.

Mature. Thomas witnesses something surprising… and is incredibly clueless how he feels about it, and about Newt. 😉 Lovely fic, even if the epilogue is a bit weaker. I especially like the moments with the other boys in the Glade in the first chapter.
