Just sheer, unadulterated boy-on-boy fun! Music: Love Game, by Lady Gaga.
Tribute to a strange but compelling movie, I love this! Music: A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got), by Fergie, Q-Tip, and Goonrock.
James had been undecided, even as he formulated different plans to approach the Captain. The man thought James was someone else, was James Buchanan Barnes, his ‘Bucky’, and James wasn’t.
Adult, post-WS, angst, slow burn. I’m starting to develop a taste for fic where the Winter Soldier never returns to being Bucky Barnes, as well as fic where Steve and Bucky were never lovers but Steve and James turn out to be.
This story is both, as well as an incredibly satisfying (if necessarily angst-laden and at times heartbreaking) look at the long, slow road of recovery from trauma as horrific as James’. And of course Steve himself is far from undamaged himself and has to deal with everything he lost. Plus there are the other people in their lives and the different kinds of relationships that develop in very believable ways.
But through it all, the connection between them is constant, a thing of beauty, and when they’re finally ready to fall in love, it’s well worth the wait..
“I, Sam Winchester, take a vow of silence in exchange for the body, breath, life and soul of Dean Winchester.”
Adult, incest, canon divergence. Stunning, gut-wrenching fic. Sam’s silence and the effects of his sacrifice on himself as well as his relationship with the returned Dean is described in beautiful words.
Will’s trying to get his bearings, pulse racing. “Were you just – “ he starts, and then he knows the answer.
Because suddenly he’s with Lito, in his expansive, steam-clouded shower. And Lito’s with Hernando.
Adult, pwp. I love fic in which Will gets to experience gay sex, courtesy of his clustermates – and here it’s shower sex, with Lito & Hernando… Yum!
“In which Steve Rogers loses God and finds God and loses God, and also: Bucky.” Not only is this inspired by the fantastic fic this quote comes from (All The Angels And the Saints by Speranza), it’s an utterly heartbreaking, gorgeous vid in and of itself. Music: Various Storms and Saints, by Florence & the Machine.
Esca sighs and tries to keep the snap of fear out of his voice. “I’m not your slave any longer. You’re not forcing me.” If anything, the opposite is true: guilt twists around his stomach at the reminder of exactly how little choice Marcus has in this. But it has to be done – and if Esca’s arousal is obscene, at least it will make everything faster.
Adult, post-movie, sex pollen. The very best kind of sex pollen fic – the kind that acknowledges the murky consent issues and is chock-full of emotions (in addition to the hot sex, of course).
“I have no idea how it works. Master Windu thought perhaps it has something to do with the crystals, but Master Yoda thought it might have been my mind-set when I built it. All I know is – I turn it on, and I’m gone. But I still have Qui-Gon’s ‘saber with me.“ He swallowed. “It’s all I have left of him, now. But I’m going to find him … I have to find him … I will find him …”
Adult, AU – so very AU… Different pairings, but Obi/Qui end goal. Also, warning for some pretty dark and messed up things that happen to poor Obi-Wan.
The Force keeps leading him to different realities, some close to the one we know, some very, very different. This is the ultimate AU fic, Obi-Wan encountering everything from gender swapped versions of familiar faces, words taken over by the Sith to actors playing Jedi in a tv show. After Very Bad Stuff happens, Obi’s pain causes the fic to drag at times (not that you can blame him), but I never stopped wishing for him to finally find a Qui-Gon to call his own.
Steve wakes to a world terrorised by kaiju and steps up to pilot a jaeger. Natasha assists. Bucky wakes as the Winter Soldier and struggles to find a new identity. Steve is entirely unhelpful. And while Steve comes to terms, someone else saves the world.
Mature, AU. I’m a total sucker for Pacific Rim/MCU crossovers – this is unique in that it actually merges the two worlds, and does a very good job, too. This allows the story to focus on Steve learning how to deal with this new Bucky, who is both his old friend and someone very much different.
“Master, why did you request this… mission? Did you know in advance that our mission to Hildass would be so difficult?“
Qui-Gon smiled warmly. "Padawan, surely it cannot have escaped your attention that the third day of the Moonflower festival falls on your birthday.”
Adult, multiple partners, sex pollen. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan discover the joys of the Moonflower – with different partners, but somehow it always comes back to them…
