Deliciously creepy non-related Sam&Dean AU, seriously well done. Music: Olivier Deriviere – Main Theme (OST Obscure 2).

Michael lowers his head. His eyes sit heavy on the tips of his brother’s boots. “You illuminated me,” he says. “As did Uriel. I have done penance, but I fear it is not enough.” He exhales. “I only ask that you acknowledge me, brother.”

Teen, pre-series/post-Flood, angelcest. Lyrical, this is a beautiful look at the twins, reforging their bond.

Seven Year Itch, by killabeez

No one should be able to attend a wedding in a dress kilt—worn entirely without irony—and look as comfortable in his own skin, as natural and edible as if he were some romance novel fantasy come to life. Methos had seen the actual romance novel, in point of fact, on Amanda’s coffee table. But nothing about the reality of a flesh-and-blood, real live Duncan MacLeod wearing formal Highland dress had made Methos want to laugh the way that illustration had.

Adult, semi-public kilt!sex. Sexy, funny and sweet, a winning combination if there ever was one! And oh my, Duncan in a kilt… that gets not only Methos hot and bothered. 😉

Emergence, by Killa

It had always been his Achilles’ heel; he couldn’t seem to help being fascinated by possibilities. And that was the crux of it, wasn’t it? Because he and MacLeod between them were nothing if not possibility… Infinite possibility, just waiting to happen.

Adult, first time. A lot of Duncan/Methos fic wallows too much in angst and emotions, especially where Methos and his past are concerned, imho. This, on the other hand, feels like something that could (should) happen, right down to the not-so-clear cut ending.

Nothing But the Truth, by carenejeans

A big bruiser of a man had Methos’s arm in a vice-lock. He turned his head gingerly to the left. A twin to the first man had a lock on his other arm. Methos felt no presence. Well, that was something. He giggled. Oh, hell, he thought.

Drugged.

Adult, humour. Methos gets hit with a (deadly) truth drug. Verbal diarrhoea ensues which leads to hilarity, sexing and a surprising amount of feels. Altogether lovely.

to the west (away from the sunrise), by garrisonbabe

Before Bucky was born, the Moon never appeared above their city. All the scientists in the world couldn’t figure out why. There was no explanation, except for what the church had. The Moon didn’t want to be seen here, by them.

When Bucky was born, for the first time in their city’s history, they had a full moon.

Teen, pagan gods!AU. This is probably one of the strangest premises for an AU ever, but it works – and it’s wonderful in its simplicity.

Patterns in Nature, by Zolac_no_Miko

I think maybe you’re chasing him in the wrong direction, Sam had said, and Steve reaches for the pull, the faintest wisp of feeling even though they’re this close, breathing the same air; it feels like it will slip from his grasp but Steve holds tight and reaches in and down, down, down.

Teen, post-Winter Soldier. The magical realism in this is an undercurrent, the connection between Steve and Bucky, and Steve needing Bucky to come back to him so bad, he bends reality to do so.

Last Outpost Of All That Is, by gekizetsu

He had known, right away. Dean was alive and breathing, but the world was not, not in the ways he was used to.

Adult, post-season 2 AU. This is a wonderfully lengthy and beautifully intriguing apocafic, in which the boys are the two last people on Earth. We (and they) never learn why, but the descriptions on how they cope (together, of course) are awesome.

Home of the Brave, by bactaqueen

Bucky was going to give Steve a place to raise the family he wanted, whether Steve realized it or not.

Steve stared down at the papers for long, long moments before he set his coffee aside and reached for them. He looked up at Bucky. Something in his eyes made Bucky’s heart crawl into his throat.

Adult, h/c, spoilers for “Castaway in Dimension Z” & “Black Widow Hunt”. Steve is broken, and Bucky, quite a mess himself, just wants to do everything he can to fix him again. Somehow, on the way there, they stumble across happiness. This is the comics!Steve/Bucky of my heart, seriously. *flails*
