Born To Run, by Frostfire – Fast and the Furious Series [Archive of Our Own] | https://archiveofourown.org/

“Should have counted on me,” says Brian, his eyes still raking over Dom, like he’s trying to reassure himself Dom’s real.

Dom can think of a lot of things to say to that, but it isn’t the time for macho bullshit, so he just says, “Yeah.”

There’s a moment, then, where he’s just looking silently back at Brian, and it’s heavy like the thud when hit the Charger’s roof, like the weight of Brian’s hand in his. Dom lets it stretch out, and then says, “What the hell are you doing to the accelerator? Thought your foot was lighter these days.”

Delicious first time after the fourth movie.

Raleigh chuckled. “You’re still a real dick, you know that.”

“And you’re still a washed up old geezer,” Chuck replied, prompt and still smiling. “We’ve all got shit we carry with us into the drift.”

“Yeah,” Raleigh murmured, Yancy’s face flitting across his mind, “I guess we do.”

“‘Sides, we don’t have to like each other all that much for this to work.”

“For, uh, for what to work?”

Chuck gave him a disbelieving look. Raleigh got the feeling once again that he was missing something, but he still couldn’t figure out what it was.

“You serious?” Chuck scratched at his chin, the motion drawing Raleigh’s attention back to his mouth. “Have you always been this slow on the uptick when you’re being pulled?”

Before the last mission, Raleigh and Chuck come to a truce – and then some. 😉

Angels Would Fall, by lls_mutant – Battlestar Galactica (2003) [Archive of Our Own] | https://archiveofourown.org/

Kara interrupts him with a sharp laugh and a rolled up jacket tossed lightly at his face. “Do you realize that’s the third time you’ve quoted Lee in the past hour?” she asks. “When did the two of you become such frakking best buddies?”

Frakking best buddies. Sam stops still, because he never thought of it that way. But before he can analyze it, Kara sees the truth and says, “So what, did you two have some sort of mutual comfort society going while I was gone?”

He’s never been the type to hide his feelings from Kara- hell, he’s never thought he should hide his feelings from Kara. And so he stands there, everything written across his face.

I must admit, I’ve got kind of a thing for Sam/Lee during Kara’s “death”…

Start As You Mean To Go On, by Brenda – Pacific Rim (2013) [Archive of Our Own] | https://archiveofourown.org/

This was completely absurd, but somehow, this was his life now. Giving dancing lessons to the savior of the fucking world at a party being thrown in their honor, with what felt like half of Hong Kong in attendance.

Excellent and hot-as-burning Chuck POV post-movie.

Prologue – Chapter 1, by embolalia – Battlestar Galactica (2003) [Archive of Our Own] | https://archiveofourown.org/

“Don’t worry.” Zak leans up to kiss Kara’s cheek, then stands. “He’ll love you, too.” He heads toward the door. “Come on or we’ll be late.”

In spite of his warning, Kara slips down into his seat and stares into space for a minute. Her mind is blank except for that one word: too.

As much as I dislike cheating in real life, the chemistry between Kara and Lee right from the start can’t be denied, and this fic shows a plausible (and still mostly canon-compliant) way it might have gone.

And motion from the taller man, a twisting jerk away, turning his back to Lee, Zak’s confused stutter, standing and turning a shoulder toward the taller man, reaching a hand out to him, seeing Lee, his “Oh Gods, shit, frak!” The red rising to his cheeks, hand slipping off his cock and then more quickly back as a shield.

Lee choking out “What the hell, Zak?” at the same moment he hears “Leland Adama, if you left my door open…” in a affectionate murmur twenty feet behind him.

I simply love canon-divergent fics that explore Lee and Kara on Caprica, especially when they include her relationship with Zak. In this one they break up, and Lee is there to pick up the pieces. *happy sigh*
